I had a decent stay at Hotel Milano, primarily due to its excellent location in Old San Juan, making it easy to explore. The staff were friendly and helpful, which really enhanced my experience. However, the rooms were quite basic and some lacked windows. a bit claustrophobic at times. Overall, it was a budget-friendly option in the heart of everything.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean but quite basic, and I noticed that it was small with limited natural light. Some rooms were said to have no windows or only high glass-block windows, which can be off-putting for some. Despite this, it was functional enough for my needs.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff were generally pleasant and accommodating during my stay. They were helpful with various requests, although I had hoped for a slightly warmer reception at times.
Location
9.0
The location of Hotel Milano is fantastic, with easy access to historical sites, shops, and some of the best restaurants in Old San Juan. I loved being able to walk to places like ChocoBar and Cafe Berlin without any hassle.
Dining
7.0
While I didn't dine at the hotel restaurant myself, I heard good things about the rooftop dining option and happy hours. But I preferred exploring the nearby eateries, which offered a variety of really good meals.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a clean and modest lobby, with a rooftop restaurant that appeared to be popular. However, I noticed some areas could use updates to feel less dated.

7.4/10

My stay at Hotel Milano was a mix of highs and lows. While the location was excellent for accessing Old San Juan and the cruise port, the room left much to be desired. The cleanliness and overall atmosphere were lacking, making it a rather uncomfortable experience. Despite the drawbacks, the staff's helpfulness was a silver lining during my stay.

Rooms
5.0
Unfortunately, my room was tiny and felt quite dated. There were small windows and the furniture seemed quite worn out. I noticed an unpleasant odor in the room as well, and I just didn't feel comfortable sleeping there without my clothes on.
Service
5.0
On the positive side, the staff was very helpful and attentive during my stay. They assisted me with directions and even called a taxi for me when I needed it. However, I did encounter some front desk staff who seemed indifferent at times.
Location
8.0
The hotel’s location was definitely a highlight for me. It was superbly positioned for walking around Old San Juan and accessing various attractions, including a nearby cruise ship terminal. I appreciated being in the center of everything!
Dining
6.0
While I didn't dine extensively at the hotel, I noticed the rooftop bar that offered some dining options, although it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere looked cozy but was rather limited in offerings.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had some basic facilities, like a safety deposit box at the front desk which I found useful. However, amenities felt dated overall, and there were no standout features to elevate the experience.

6.8/10

Overall, my stay at Hotel Milano was enjoyable due to its prime location and helpful staff, but the accommodations left something to be desired. The rooms are quite basic and do show signs of age, but they met my needs for a short stay before boarding my cruise.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are small, basic, and a bit worn out, but adequate for a night's stay. The queen-sized bed was comfortable enough, although the bathrooms were quite tiny. I also noticed the air conditioning vent was rusty, and the decor seemed dated.
Service
8.0
The staff at Hotel Milano were friendly and went above and beyond to help me, which made my stay more pleasant. They offered to hold my luggage, allowing me to explore the area before my cruise.
Location
10.0
The location couldn't be better! It was within walking distance to the cruise terminal, and I was able to explore Old San Juan easily. Everything I needed, from food to shops, was just a stroll away.
Dining
8.0
I had a fantastic meal at the rooftop restaurant, which offered delicious local cuisine at a reasonable price. While breakfast options were limited, the quality was worth it for just $5.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has basic facilities, including an old but functional elevator. However, the lack of free coffee and breakfast options was a downside for me, as I prefer those amenities when staying at a hotel.

I had a great time at Hotel Milano during my week in San Juan. The location was perfect for exploring Old San Juan, and the rooftop restaurant, Punto De Vista, had awesome food and stunning views. However, the rooms were pretty small and a bit dated, but they were clean and met my needs.

My stay at Hotel Milano was a mixed bag. While the location was fantastic, close to historic sites and restaurants, the rooms left much to be desired. Although the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well, the room itself felt outdated and had an unpleasant smell. I enjoyed the rooftop restaurant with its great happy hour, which added some enjoyment to my experience.
